Cooking Up Literature

Good blogging is supposed to include photographs -- they grab visual interest. I rarely take pictures, although I am as impressed by a good photo as I am with a good painting. I guess this is a vestige of my days prior to PRK surgery -- when my thick glasses prevented close contact with a camera lens.

So in the interest of maintaining a potential reader's curiosity about my blog, I give to you a tongue-in-cheek picture that I took for a hypertext project called Word of Mouth.

You can see that I am serving up some of my favorite poetry--works I think everyone should delve into: Frost, Plath and Rilke. Enjoy a little bite today!

Pam, you are the cutest thing ever ;) Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Marylhurst cancelled the drama course I signed up for! Damn them! ;p Can you believe there was a lack of enrollment?

Oh, I really wanted to take that class, too! I have tried twice to take a course called "Revenge of the Aesthetic" and it has been cancelled for lack of enrollment. It was a Prof. Plotkin (doesn't that sound like a Harry Potter wizard?) course.

Sarie, let's face it, our interests lay toward the ethereal--and so many of these students tend to "practical" study! So why don't you take the Love & Sexuality course with me?

I would love to, but unfortunately the 3:15-6:00pm time doesn't work with my schedule. I nanny every day from 8:00am to 6:00pm. I feel like I'm missing out on all of the good classes!

Hi Pamela! Love the picture, now I can put your face with your name whenever Stephanie mentions you.
Happy New Year!! Looking forward to reading more notes in 2006.
